For pt. 2 I want to introduce you to Megan (the gorgeous brunette :)).
Megan is full of spunk. This chick, Im telling you.. Not only is she a rockstar in front of the lens – but also behind! We met for coffee recently & she shared some of her work with me – she’s just amazing. & Not only does she take killer photos, but she also does make up & styling all herself! Talk about talented. I get so so beyond excited about young people with a passion for photography, eek!!
Megan, beyond your many talents, you are such a blast to be around. You are driven. You are smart. You are mature beyond your years in the best kind of way! You just shine girlfran. Keep on exploring your creativity & using your talents for God’s glory! I promise if you do that, He will take you farther than you can ever EVER even imagine. I can’t wait to see all that you do! :)
Alright y’all – be prepared for some serious cuteness in this senior shoot! Megan & Helen are the most adorable friends ever. Legit, I am having to separate their session into two separate blog posts because there are too many I can’t help but share!
So for pt. 1, Ill introduce you to Helen (the beautiful blonde :)).
Helen radiates joy. You can see it in her smile, you can feel it when she laughs. She is filled with life, and Jesus, and goofiness, and that, to me, is the best of a combinations. I’ve known Helen & her family for quite some time now. Ive worked on a few projects with them & have grown to love & respect the whole Hardy clan & how they do life, so so much. So when I spoke with Helen’s mom about senior photos, lets just say I was preeettty Giddy!!
Helen, Thank you for such a fun afternoon & for being such a joy to work with! I am so excited about what God has in store for the next stage of life! Enjoy the remainder of your senior year! But most importantly, keep loving on the people around you & I promise the legacy you leave for Christ at your school will far outlive your time there. After all, thats what its all about, isn’t it? :)
ENJOY PART ONE PEOPLE & STAY TUNED FOR PART TWO, COMING SO SO SUPER SOON!
I had the most wonderful opportunity to shoot these two cute kids in celebration of their recent engagement! When I asked Suzy to tell me a little bit about their love story, I got a multiple paragraph response with a lil note starting it off : “I will sound like I’m 5 years old when I tell our story, but I’m totally okay with that, because he’s still my crush! Ill go into way too much detail, so feel free to skim if you want (;”….From that moment on, I knew I was gonna love these two. People who know me know that I am ALL about details – legit, I want all the deets. So not only did I read the whole thing, but I also may or may not have even squealed out loud to myself….several times throughout….eek! But for you, Ill summarize it:
They met at camp when they were 14 years old. They noticed each other from a distance, but that was about it. Fast forward to freshman year of college…He goes to UT while she attends UF. Harrison saw Suzy on TV in the crowd at the Florida Tennessee game (?!), immediately recognized her & sent her a Facebook message….the rest, well, its history. Is God not SO good?!
Suzy & Harrison were such a joy to be with. Not only do they make each other laugh so so hard, which makes my job soooo easy, but they also have the utmost love and respect for each other, which is shown in the way they both talk about & treat one another. Theres just nothing better than that.
I am basically in love with absolutely everything about this wedding: the dress, the colors, the flowers, the band, the venue, the make up, goodness the list goes on. But truly most of all, I am in love with this couple. They are so down to earth & so full of life. Y’all, I know that everyone is ridiculously excited to get married on their wedding day – I mean, hello! But these two…..well…I think the shots of their first look says it all. It was the most beautiful first look I’ve ever had the privilege to be apart of. Not because of the location or the light (actually, definitely not because of that – the sun always decides to come out at the wrong moments! ;) ) but because of the anticipation, the emotion, the way that the groom takes his bride in during that private moment, just shared between the two of them. Alex turned around & was in complete awe of Ashley. Speechless. Tears of joy. Complete amazement over the woman he was about to take as his wife, written all over his face.
I did not do a first look on my wedding day. To be honest, I wanted Bo’s first time seeing me to be as I walked down the aisle - I was set on that and did not understand the point of a first look, as long as I planned my timeline accordingly. A lot of my brides also opt out of the first look and I never ever push it because I have always shared that sentiment. This wedding, this couple really, completely changed my personal opinion. To be able to have that private moment where just the two of you stand in awe of the immense blessing that God has given you – that is every bit as special as waiting for the isle. Ashley & Alex, thank you for showing me that to the core of my being! Thank you for being such an amazing couple to work with – thank you for being so vulnerable – thank you for inviting me to capture the gift God has given you both in each other! May you two never forget that moment when you had your first look. The way that you looked at each other is the way that God looks at you daily.
All that to say, Enjoy this beautiful celebration below!
She was just as sweet as she could be from the minute she stepped into my house at 5:30am for Hair & Make Up. She has a smile that lights up the room & a warmness about her that makes you feel so comfortable right off the bat! Her mom joined in on the fun & let me tell you, these two had me laughing all morning. It warmed my heart to see how these two interacted with each other – when I wanted a natural laugh & my bad jokes just weren’t cutting’ it, her mom could spout out one line & voila! I love witnessing mother daughter relationships like these. It makes me wanna go hug my mama! :) By the end of the day, the three of us were old friends, I love sessions like these.
Charlotte, you are beautiful, radiant, and it doesn’t take long to realize you are mature beyond your years. You are going to absolutely ROCK college & whatever school you choose is going to be so so lucky to have you. & If Auburn is it, don’t be surprised if I hop in your suitcase while your not looking…I do anything for another 4 years there! Just saying’. ;) War Eagle!
