So I just decided I want to start sharing some of my personal adventures, since 2014 has quite a few exciting ones in store. :)
This past weekend took me to the Windy City – Chicago. When I was asked to 2nd shoot one of my dear photographer friend Jordan’s wedding, I nearly fell out of my chair. Lets just say I couldn’t say “YES!” fast enough. Not only did this mean I would get to watch one of my favorite’s say “I DO”, but it also meant I would get to work under her ridiculously talented wedding photographer, Marissa, + have a lil free time to explore a city i’ve never been to! So in my 7 hours of free time on Friday afternoon, I met up with my hilarious cousin Spence & another amazing member of my lil photog family, Jill! They were so sweet to run me around town hitting up some Chicago “must see’s & do’s”: Lula Cafe (yall, DELICIOUS.), the terrifying Sky Deck, Garrett’s Popcorn Shop (the Chicago mix..MMM yes please.), & of course…the bean. Chicago, I’ve fallen for you.
This weekend reminded me of my deep love for travel & exploration – Bring on the destination weddings y’all! ;)
This engagement session brought my right back to my college days in Alabama – spending weekends with friends on the farm! Let me tell you, it did not feel like we were in Florida. When I drove through the gates of London Creek Ranch, I nearly died – y’all I could shoot there for days and it would never get old. It had fields & forests for days. If you live in Orlando too then you know that fields are especially hard to find…so basically I felt like a kid in a candy store. & Im pretty sure I told Caitlin & TJ that about a million times throughout our time together. haha.
